EASY RETURNS You can return your rentals in-store at the end of each semester or you can simply mail them back to the bookstore.
NO UPCHARGE You don’t have to spend more for new rental. There is only one rental price regardless if the book is new or used. |
How long do I get to keep a rental? A rental is not due until the end of the semester. Rental Return Due date will be printed on the sticker applied to the back of the textbook.
I like to buy my books instead of renting because I may need keep them. Why should I rent? We have a Rental+ Program, meaning the full rental price paid can be applied to the purchase price at the end of the semester if you want to keep your book. For example, if the rental price is $25 and the purchase price is $75, you would pay $50 to keep the book at the end of the semester.
Can I rent books or packages with an access code in them? Yes, the rental price includes the purchase of the access code, and the book will need to be returned at the end of the semester.
Can I write or highlight in my rental? Standard writing/highlighting in the book is allowed. Excessive highlighting or writing can result in the rental being deemed damaged (See question below).
Why do I need to hold a debit/credit card on file for a rental? We require a debit/credit card to be held on file in case the rental is not returned.
How do I return my rental? It’s easy. We don't require a receipt. Return your rentals at the end of the semester to the bookstore or mail them to: Adams State Online Store, ATTN: Rental Returns, 308 Southwest Drive Unit B, Cheyenne, WY 82007 **Please make sure your contact information is located in the package.**
How do I print a return label for mailed rental returns? Follow these steps to print a shipping label and return your rental textbook by mail: Step 1: Click Log In in the top-right corner of this page and sign in using the same method you used when placing your rental order (school login or email/password). Step 2: Once inside your account, click the Rentals Out tab to view your active rentals. Step 3: Locate and select the rental item(s) you want to return, then click the Rental Return Label button. Step 4: Follow the checkout steps to confirm your shipping address and generate your label. *Please note: If you have more than one rental to return, you do NOT need a separate shipping label for each textbook. You may place all rentals in one package and use a single label. Step 5: After completing checkout, you’ll receive an email with your rental return shipping label attached. Step 6: Print the label, place your rental book(s) and a note with your contact information securely in a package, attach the label, and drop it off at your local post office or mailbox. Step 7: Once your book(s) are received and checked in, you’ll receive a confirmation email. Alternative option: You are not required to generate a rental return shipping label through your account. If you prefer, you may create your own shipping label and return your rental using USPS, FedEx, UPS, or another shipping carrier of your choice. Please keep your tracking information for your records until your return is processed.
What if I don’t return my rental? The bookstore will charge your card on file the difference in how much was paid for the rental minus the purchase price plus a $10/rental late fee.
Did you get the books I returned? When rentals are returned, you will receive an emailed receipt showing they are returned.
What if I need to extend my rental? Please contact the bookstore to pay the upcoming semester's rental fee.
What if I want to keep my book? Please contact the bookstore to let us know that you want to keep the book. The bookstore has a Rental+ Program meaning the full rental price paid will be applied to the purchase price if you want to keep your book. For example, if the rental price is $25 and the purchase price is $75, you would pay $50 to keep the book.
What if I lost or damaged my rentals? Students are required to pay the difference in how much was paid for the rental price minus the purchase price.
Rental AgreementI am at least 18 years of age. I will return the rented materials to The Adams State Bookstore, hereafter known as The Bookstore, on or before the rental return date. The Bookstore is not responsible for reminding me of the rental return date and is not responsible for returns that are lost or damaged in shipping. I am fully responsible for the condition of the materials rented to me and for payment of fees and replacement costs if rented materials are lost, stolen or returned in unacceptable condition. Unacceptable conditions include, but are not limited to, water damage, pages torn out, spine fraying or falling apart, excessive highlighting and writing on pages, and missing CD’s or other study aides. All rented materials are subject to these conditions and The Bookstore will decide what is or is not acceptable at the time the rented materials are returned. If I fail to return the rented materials by the rental return date, the credit or debit card on file with The Bookstore will be charged a $10.00 late fee per rental textbook plus the full retail price of the rented materials minus the amount paid for the initial rental. Retail price is based on current values at the time of replacement. I am either the account holder or authorized user of the credit or debit card used to secure the rental material or have been given permission by the account holder. I will not cancel or exceed the purchasing limits of the credit or debit card referenced above until the rented textbooks are either returned to The Bookstore or the non-return fees are paid. I understand if I have an unpaid balance to The Bookstore and do not make satisfactory payment arrangements, my account may be placed with an external collection agency. I will be responsible for reimbursement of the fee of any collection agency, which may be based on a percentage at a maximum of 35% of the debt, and all costs and expenses, including reasonable collection and attorney’s fees incurred during collection efforts. If my rental is eligible to be returned to The Bookstore, I will still be liable for a service fee assessed by the external collection agency. I have read this disclosure and agree that the Lender/Creditor may contact me as described above. |
