Return & Refund Policy
Please review the return requirements below before submitting or bringing in a return. Items that do not meet the applicable return requirements may not be eligible for a refund.
Textbooks, Packages & Access Codes
Textbooks, packages, and access codes may be returned within 14 days from the first day of the term. Shrink-wrapped textbooks and packages must remain sealed to receive a full refund. Access codes are non-refundable once the seal, scratch-off area, or shrink-wrap has been opened or removed. New textbooks that are returned without their original packaging or are no longer in new condition may be refunded at the used-book value, subject to manager approval.
eBooks & Digital Course Materials
eBooks must be returned within 10 days of the original purchase date and must also fall within the 14-day course-material return period beginning on the first day of the term. After the 14-day return period, eBooks are non-refundable, regardless of the purchase date. Cengage Unlimited and other courseware products are non-refundable once the access code has been redeemed or the digital product has been activated.
Merchandise & Gifts
Merchandise and gifts, excluding Best Buy products, may be returned for a refund within 10 days of the original purchase date or exchanged within 30 days. Items must be unused, in their original packaging, and have all original tags attached.
Computers & Software
Computers and software, excluding Best Buy products, must be unopened and returned within 10 days of the original purchase date to qualify for a refund. Opened computers and software are non-returnable.
Best Buy Products
Products purchased through the Best Buy link are shipped directly from Best Buy and may be returned within 14 days of the original purchase date. Orders may only be changed or cancelled within 30 minutes of being placed. After the 30-minute cancellation window, returned, cancelled, or refunded orders are subject to a 15% restocking fee. Items must be returned in their original packaging with all included materials and tags.
Shipping Charges
All shipping charges are non-refundable.
